A Disney Wordless Wednesday: Experience the #DisneySide of Storytelling

OK, I admit it, I racked my brain for the last 48 hours trying to figure out a topic that begins with "X" for the A to Z Challenge.  I've got nothing.  No xylem, xylotomy, or xeroxing.  Heck, I don't even own an X-Box (we're a PlayStation household, if you were wondering).  So instead of copping out and skipping X, I am going to bend the rules a little - I am going to be a rebel:  I am going to write about a topic that includes the letter X:  Experience.  (*gasp* *faint* *fist pump*)  And one of my most favorite experiences is the #DisneySide of storytelling.

In case you didn't know I love Disney.  I.  LOVE.  Disney.  I truly believe that I love Disney so much because they have mastered the art of storytelling and really immerse their guests in the experience.  Whether it is the Haunted Mansion at Walt Disney World (one of my personal favorites) or watching Frozen or Finding Nemo on the big screen, Disney never fails to create memorable, lasting experiences time and time again, which keeps us fanatics coming back for more.

For me, there are two vital components to a successful #DisneySide story:  characters and scenery.  Once I fall in love with the character and become familiar with their surroundings, I find myself completely immersed in the Disney experience.  But, I do not think that these components only apply to Disney - they apply to all writing and entertainment.  I love to write and attempt to make my audience feel as though they are actually experiencing the events that I write about with me (did you feel like you just caught Laverne when I wrote about the tale of the Lizard Lips?).  Disney is such an inspiration to me, and I strive to create experiences with my #DisneySide daily (like my StarWars Giveaway).  Does Disney inspire you? (PS, I will try to be more "wordless" next week, haha!)

And it's ok, you're not the only person who has a problem with Wordless Wednesday's - or even *nearly* wordless Wednesday's, LOL. I try, but.... ;)

  3. Ha - what a game player :) We have a dog named Daisy as well, but she's a German Shepard / Husky mix so she wouldn't play along as easily as your Daisy. Love the pics!
